Sometimes I like to take a walk
Call a good friend for a
light-hearted talk
Read a good adventure book
Or look around and take
A long hard look
At what is mine in the here and now
To see it in creation
and just say “wow”
I see it in the trees and the sky
and I fill it in the air that is crisp
In the cute, freckle face kid
whose hair is in a wisp
I see it in the stars, in the sun
and the rain
I see it in the comfort and
I feel it in the pain
I see it in my home when
the kids are running free
I see it in the mirror when
you’re looking back at me
I see it all around so I can
slow down my pace
And enjoy this journey now
because of your amazing grace!

Boring, white
Expectations
Of all things right
What if LOVE
Was all that’s needed
And IT the brokenness exceeded
Love within those broken parts
Shows a solid kind of perfect
Grace expressed within the pieces
