“Breathe”

Breathe, when darkness settles in,

and you’ve heard the rhetoric and spin.

Breathe when war hits home

and you can’t watch the news or pick up a telephone.

Breathe when your mind wants to focus on the dark,

and everything you know seems to look empty and stark.

Life is there or you wouldn’t have breath,

Light is still there to replace the darkness in death.

It’s always darkest just before the dawn,

And when the Son comes up just breath and move on!
