When Bad Things Happen

It’s so important to notice and appreciate the good moments, soaking them in and being present. Moment by moment things change, news happens and sometimes it can take your breath away for a time. The ups and downs of life are natural processes to this earth-walk. But remember that this is all temporary and you my friend, are eternal. That means your resources do not come from this place that is in a constant state of turmoil.

You are an eternal being with eternal resources filled with peace that is heavenly and life that is JESUS. This does not take away the temporary pain of the moment, but it does mean you do not live there. You live in Him and in Him is a peace that passes understanding. We are anchored, steady and have full
citizenship in a realm beyond this temporary place. We have JESUS to thank for that!

“He Is”

He is the way, the journey and the destination.
He is the truth, the understanding, the revelation.
He is the life, the experience, what is real.
He is the bread, the wine, the entire meal.
He is the answer, the anointing, He is the call.
He is the first, the last, He is all.

It Is Finished

On this day darkness met light
Sin met righteousness
Life met death
A reconciliation of all things and all people into One
Not a sin forgotten
not a nationality left out
For God so loved the whole world
For God’s plan included the whole world
And into His Son would be placed all sin
In Him would be the final seperation
In Him would be all law exacted
In Him would justice meet love
In Him would the blood make its final payment
Darkness fell and the earth shook
The wages of sin were deposited into the bank of eternity
Making way for the gift of God to be withdrawn
Unto all and upon all them that believe
Days later Light broke through
Righteousness came forth
and eternal Life conquered death
What was without was placed within
What is now within is being seen
Out of death came Life eternal
and it’s exceedingly, abundantly above anything we could ask or think.
Heaven on earth, Heaven in earth
It is finished!

Like The Ocean to The Bay

Not feeling all that poetic
But having much to say
From a passion rising briskly
Like the ocean to the bay

Is the love of Christ my Savior
As my eyes are opened wide
To His mercy and His kindness
And the life He does provide

So complete is His provision
So entire is His being
That it feels the nooks and crannies
And awakens me to seeing

Even with my body weakened
And on earth I live today
His life is like the ocean
And my life is like the bay

It will never be depleted
It will never cease to be
It’s a life that lives forever
It’s His life that lives in me.

So I rest in this knowing
I am righteous, I am pure
I am ever in His pleasure
And poetically secure.

Cross, Poetry

“It is Finished At The Cross”

I sigh from relief
Now my mind can rest
The work is complete
Give me a spiritual blood test.
Cause I’ve been re-gene-arated
That old man Is dead.
That old way of doing things
That depended on me
Was cut out, extracted, and hung on a tree.
And what came alive the day I believed
Was a life so perfect so connected with God
That people either applaud or call it a fraud.
But I know the truth, I’m confident and sure
That the life I’ve been given it’s like haute couture
It’s like a direct line from Heaven
Like peace undefined,
Like organic and holy like a branch and a vine.
So don’t worry, or doubt but rest in this fact
That the mysteries been solved,
the code has been cracked
Your not whack, So stand up put your shoulders back
You’re the righteousness of God, so walk like a boss
Cause it’s all about Jesus and what he finished at the cross!

Commentary

It’s Just Not that Difficult

I have always felt like a simple minded person surrounded by complex roadmaps and formulas. That I had to unlock some divine code in order to experience a kind of Heavenly ecstasy that I have always missed.
So I study and pray and search and hang on to every word by ministers and speakers and authors.
Are you ready for a huge revelation; it’s not difficult at all?
It ALWAYS comes back to the cross and what Jesus did there. Is His work enough, then just believe it? Whether its for my kids, my financial situation, my marriage, my health, whatever.
Now believe me it’s vital to study and learn to be good at those things like parenting etc.. but i could fail in those areas, lets just be honest. So my faith can’t be in the next book or study or in my ability follow directions. It has to be in Jesus and what he has already banked into my heavenly account through His blood. So read the books and go to the seminars and grow, grow, grow but rest in the simple truth that what Jesus did has to be the final answer.

“The State Of Mind You’re In”

Walking among the lowly, dragging your lovely feet

there is no excuse for your appearance of defeat.

You wake-up every morning to the dream of those without

Yet you complain it’s not enough and you’re condemned to simply doubt.

What if where you are is the place to find your peace?

What if what you have is the shelf on which they reach?

What does that say about the state of mind you’re in?

What if you reached the mountain and you were just back here again?
